A research is an investigation to find more information about something.

For a computer game you would research the type of game that are people are interested in and you could also research one the stuff that you need to make that game so you can get a better deal when buying it. You can get this information by using secondary research, quantitative research and qualitative research.

  • Production process: types of platform, types of programing language, manpower
  • Feasibility study
To find these information:

Interview, questionnaire, Survey, Case study, Review, Observation.

Quantitative is numbers to find information for example in a questionnaire you would like to find how many prefers what. 

Qualitative is people opinion in  the game and i can be done by interview or review of what they think.

The advantage of primary research is that it is direct when getting information.
The advantage of secondary research is that it takes less time and easier to find.

Audience Research is a research that you do on audience to find out their attitudes, knowledge,interests, preferences, or behaviours so you can give the audience what they want or what they prefer so you can find the target audience.

Market research is a research that requires media such as radio, TV and etc to advertise. You also find out about your rivals. You can find out about potential cost, revenue,profit,etcn and competing product and where they come from.

Production research: Provide content and gather material to allow the company to develop the new product, investigate the commercial viability of actually making the product, investigate technology, check out suitable recording and location, research and plan production and post-production stages to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

The purpose of Social action is to promote or to create a positive change of something going around the world. The impact of social action is that it makes people aware of something that they didn't know or didnt try much to help it for example the the Joseph kony social action to make him famous for all his criminal actions so people can help bring justice to the victims.
